| Purpose |
Used for the examination of cyto-histological specimens. The Hematoxylin and Eosin (H&E) staining kit is one of the most widely used staining methods in histology and pathology laboratories. | Working Principle
|
Hematoxylin: Stains cell nuclei and nucleic acids. Hematoxylin is a basic dye and interacts with acidic components (especially DNA and RNA) to highlight nuclei.
Eosin Y: Stains cytoplasm, collagen and other cellular components. Eosin is an acidic stain and interacts with basic structures (especially cytoplasmic proteins). The Hematoxylin and Eosin staining kit is an essential tool for examining biological tissue samples under the microscope. It is used to visualize the structure and cellular details of tissues and is an indispensable method in a wide range of applications. |

Danger Causes allergic skin reactions. Causes damage to organs. Avoid inhalation of dust/fumes/gases/mist/vapors/spray. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. | Application
|
1. Deparaffinize the preparation with xylene for 10 minutes.
2. Treat with absolute alcohol for 4 minutes.
3. Cover the preparation with 95% ethyl alcohol. After 4 minutes, shake the slide to remove the ethyl alcohol.
4. Wash gently with distilled water.
5. Cover the preparation with “A-Hematoxylin Mayer”, after 3 minutes, shake the slide to remove the reagent.
6. Wash gently with distilled water.
7. Cover the preparation with “B-Eosin Y %1 in Water”. After 6 minutes, shake the slide to remove the reagent.
8. Wash gently with distilled water.
9. Cover the preparation with 95% ethyl alcohol. After 30 seconds, shake the slide to remove the reagent.
10. Dehydrate by treating with absolute alcohol for 2 minutes.
11. Cover the preparation with xylene. After 4 minutes, shake the slide to remove the xylene.
12. Cover the preparation with xylene again. After 4 minutes, shake the slide to remove the xylene.
13. Dry in air, preferably on a hot plate. Examine under a microscope. |
