Purpose Used for histology staining.
Working Principle The samples are placed in a buffered xanthene solution and allowed to stand for a certain period of time (usually a few minutes to an hour). Xanthene binds to and stains the structural components of the cells. The buffer in the solution stabilizes the pH level and preserves the cell structures.
