Purpose
Used for colorimetric determination of free chlorine and pH in various waters.
Working Principle
Warnings, Precautions, Recommendations
Hazard Highly flammable liquid and vapor. May corrode metals. Causes severe skin burns and eye damage. Keep away from heat/sparks/flame/hot surfaces. Store only in original container. Wear protective gloves/protective clothing/eye protection/face protection. If swallowed: Rinse mouth. DO NOT attempt to void. IN CONTACT WITH SKIN (or hair): Immediately remove all contaminated clothing. Dry skin with water/shower.
Ingredients
A-pH Indicator: Phenol red, ethanol 96%.
B-Chlorine Separator: O-Tolidine, hydrochloric acid.

Application
Measuring the pH of water:
1. Take the measuring cup from your set box.
2. Add the water sample to be analyzed up to the 10 ml mark.
3. Add 2 drops of A-pH Indicator and stir with the lid closed.
4. Determine the pH of the water by comparing the color in the container with the pH color scale.
Measuring Free Chlorine in Water:
1. Take the measuring cup from your kit box.
2. Add the water sample to be analyzed up to the 10 ml mark.
3. Add 3 drops of B-Chlorine Separator and stir with the lid closed. Wait for 2-3 minutes.
4. Determine the amount of free chlorine in the water by comparing the color in the container with the chlorine color scale.
Microbiological Properties
A- The pH color scale is compared with the change in the color of the water sample.
B- The chlorine color scale is compared with the change in the color of the water sample.
